About Stacey Gray

STACEY M. GRAY

Stacey M. Gray founded Stacey Gray PC in 1999, and runs a discreet, full service employment law firm that represents executives and employers in state, federal and appellate courts as well as resolving disputes through arbitration and mediation. Gray’s representation of both sides of a dispute – management and employees – has afforded her unparalleled skills, and the expertise to represent and counsel management. She is a solution oriented employment attorney who is protective of her clients, takes great pride in their successes, and treats them with the highest level of respect, confidentiality and commitment.

Gray counsels and represents clients at all stages of an employment dispute, including investigation, litigation, arbitration and mediation. She also negotiates, enforces and cancels employment contracts, bonus pay, fiduciary duties and restrictive covenants. Gray’s representation also includes discrimination and retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and whistleblower claims in addition to related causes of action.

In 2024, Gray secured a multi-million dollar settlement for an executive at one of the top five banks in the United States. Also, in 2022, Gray attained a multi-million dollar deal for a C-Suite Executive at a top five bank in the States.

In 2021, Gray secured a multi-million dollar settlement on behalf of a C-Suite Executive of a public software company, and another multi-million dollar settlement for a Key Executive at a public technology company. Also, in 2021, Gray secured a 6-figure settlement on behalf of an executive in a dispute with a National Football League (NFL) team.

In 2020, Gray served as Co-Lead Counsel with Mehri & Skalet in a class and collective action against MetLife in the Southern District of New York that resulted in a multi-million dollar settlement for a group of dental consultants in eight states who alleged that MetLife misclassified them as independent contractors and violated the FLSA and ERISA.

She also won a decision against Time Warner Inc. on behalf of an executive where Time Warner was represented by Cravath, Swaine & Moore and their co--counsel, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. She served as lead counsel to negotiate Managing Directors at Greenhill & Company joining global investment bank Moelis & Company to launch its Private Funds Advisory Business. Gray has represented numerous executives at leading financial firms and corporations to resolve disputes, and she has represented companies as well. Gray's track record over the last 20 years allows her to often resolve matters without the filing of a lawsuit.

Stacey Gray’s cost-effective skill set additionally helps clients avoid disputes by counseling and training management and employees on workplace policies. The firm advises clients on a spectrum of city, state and federal laws to ensure compliance and offers the necessary perspective at the appropriate time.

Stacey reviews contracts for board members, and advises them on their fiduciary duties as well as risk management and restructuring. Now, Stacey intends to serve as a board member for two public companies to navigate DEI initiatives after the recent Supreme Court decision.
